How did the injury occur?
Hardik Pandya, who has been living in Bengaluru since the end of the IPL and trains at the BCCI Center of Excellence, had been working on a fitness certification in preparation for his return to competitive cricket. The new shin ailment has completely ruined both of those plans.
This is Pandya’s third fresh niggle in the previous four months. He had earlier missed the Afghanistan ODIs and England T20Is owing to unrelated injury problems, creating more doubts about his ability to maintain fitness over an extended period.
