Aiden Markram’s return to international cricket will take place on Sunday, September 27, in South Africa’s second One-Day International (ODI) against Australia at the Wanderers. Aiden Markram has not played for South Africa since the team’s March T20 World Cup quarterfinal loss to New Zealand in Kolkata. Since returning from The Hundred in early August, he has avoided playing cricket for personal reasons. Markram trained with the provincial union Titans and spent hours in the nets at Tshwane University in preparation for his comeback.
According to Aiden Markram, match practice differs from other types of training in that it gives preparation. He recognised the significance of his extended absence from professional cricket and how it would alter how he approached the game.

In 14 ODIs against Australia, he averages 38.15, somewhat higher than his career average of 37.09. Markram has scored three of his eight Test hundreds against Australia, where he averages more over 60.
